Are you unable to make or receive calls after updating to iOS 17.4.1? Is your iPhone showing alerts like “No Service” or “Searching”? Your iPhone may have some software or hardware problems that prevent it from connecting with your carrier.

Here are some quick fixes to help you out when your iPhone has no service.

Why your iPhone says ‘No Service’

It could be a case of a carrier settings update gone wrong, or there could be some hardware issue with your iPhone. There’s also a chance that your carrier might be facing some operational issues, causing your iPhone to have no service.

Other common issues include:

  • You’re out of network area
  • Cellular plan expired or not enabled by carrier
  • Incorrect network settings
  • System glitches after iOS 17.4.1 update
  • Damaged SIM card

There are quite a few fixes to get rid of the ‘No Service’ error message on your iPhone. Let’s go through each of them.

How to fix No Service on iPhone after iOS 17.4.1 update

Here, I have shared solutions to regain cellular service on your iPhone. Try the methods step by step and see which one works!

1. Check your coverage area

If you live in a rural area away from any nearby cell towers, you probably won’t have the best cellular reception. Search the web for “your carrier cell coverage map.” Here are the cell coverage maps for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

Also, a few areas don’t have good 5G networks. So, try switching to 4G for better cellular reception. For that, go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data OptionsVoice & Data → Select LTE.

Are you out of your carrier’s coverage zone? In that case, consider getting a cellular data signal booster for your home.

Alternatively, you can also try enabling Wi-Fi calling if you have a reliable Wi-Fi connection.

2. Turn on/off Airplane mode

First, ensure you don’t have Airplane Mode turned on. Now, turn Airplane Mode on and then back off. It will refresh the network, eliminating “No Service” on iPhone glitche.

To do so, go to Settings → Toggle on Airplane Mode → Wait for a few seconds and toggle it off. Now, toggle on Cellular Data and check to see the network status bar.

turn on Airplane mode on iPhone

This simple solution may fix the No Service error, but if your iPhone still has no service, you can check out the fixes mentioned below.

3. Restart your iPhone

Restarting your iPhone might help you get rid of the error. So, don’t hesitate to give it a chance.

  • On iPhone X and later: Press and hold either of the Volume buttons and Side button until you get the power off slider. Then, swipe the power off slider to shut down the device. Now, wait for about 30 seconds, then press and hold the Side button again to turn it back on.
  • On iPhone 8 and earlier: Press and hold the Side button and drag the power off slider to turn off the device. After around 30 seconds, press and hold the Side button to turn it on again.

4. Reinsert SIM card

If your iPhone uses eSIM rather than a physical card, you can skip this solution.

Sometimes the problem isn’t too advanced; this could be the case with your iPhone. If you inserted the physical SIM card incorrectly, or it shook out of place during use, that may be why your iPhone has no service.

Try reinserting the SIM card properly and restart your iPhone. If the problem persists, move on to the next step.

5. Toggle Cellular data off and on again

This one is obvious, but sometimes it’s the small mistakes that trip you up.

Go to Settings Cellular → Toggle off Cellular Data → Toggle on Cellular Data after a few seconds.

6. Enable Data Roaming

Sometimes your carrier doesn’t connect you to the network if you’re out of your home network zone, which may be why your iPhone says ‘no service.’ So, make sure data roaming is enabled on your device.

To do so, open Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data Options → toggle on Data Roaming.

Enable Data Roaming Option on iPhone

Also, you may enable automatic network selection to avoid connecting to the wrong network. From the Cellular Data Options menu, select Network Selection → Toggle on Automatic.

7. Reset Network Settings

On a rare occasion, your network settings may be corrupted, causing you to get the No Service error message on your iPhone. So, resetting the network to factory default could help you fix that issue.

To do so, open Settings General → Transfer or Reset iPhoneReset → Reset Network Settings. Now, enter your passcode and tap Reset Network Settings.

Reset-Network-Settings

Note: Resetting network settings to default will reset Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, VPN, and APN settings. It will NOT delete any photos, videos, or files stored on your device.

8. Check Date and Time settings

Sometimes the wrong Date and Time settings are the culprit behind the No Service message.

To modify date and time:

  1. Open Settings General Date and Time.
  2. Toggle on Set Automatically → Select the appropriate Time Zone

9. Update carrier settings

You could have installed the wrong carrier settings, or there may be a bug in the latest carrier settings update, resulting in the No Service error message on iPhone. In such a case, see if an update is available for your carrier settings.

Note: Make sure you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap General → About.
You will get a notification if your carrier has released an update.
  3. Next, tap Update.

    Update-carrier-settings-on-iPhone

Now reboot your iPhone and check if it still has no service.

10. Update iOS

Apple regularly releases iOS updates to fix bugs, introduce new features, and improve security settings.

If you are frequently facing the No Service issue after updating to iOS 17.4.1, install the next iOS update as and when Apple makes it available.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap General → Software Update.
  3. If the update is available, tap download and install.

    tap-on-general-and-then-software-update-on-iphone

11. Contact your service provider

If none of the fixes worked out for you, there might be an issue on your mobile carrier’s end. It’s best to contact your service provider for help fixing the issue.

Other fixes worth trying

  • Switch from AT&T 3G: If you’re still on AT&T’s 3G network, this is likely the cause of your no service woes. AT&T is doing away with its 3G coverage, meaning you’ll need a new iPhone if you’re using an iPhone 5 or earlier.

We hope one of the solutions mentioned above solved your issue. If you’re still getting the No Service error, I suggest contacting Apple Support and chatting with the troubleshooting team online or scheduling an in-person appointment. It could be a hardware issue specific to your iPhone.

Spotlight Search is one of the handiest features on our iPhones. We often rely on it to quickly search and access contacts, text, or other content across our devices. However, if you recently updated your iPhone to iOS 17.4.1 and the Spotlight Search hasn’t worked since then, you aren’t alone.

Several users have complained about the same. So, what’s causing it in the first place, and how can you fix it? Read along to find out!

Why is my iPhone Spotlight Search not working?

There could be two major reasons why Spotlight Search is not working on your iPhone. It could either be old hardware or a bug-ridden iOS 17.4.1 software.

Sometimes, iPhones with older processors struggle to keep up with new iOS releases, making them slower. Meanwhile, most of the time, it’s the software causing issues with the Spotlight Search on your iPhone.

How to fix Spotlight Search not working on iPhone

1. Restart the iPhone

Although the simplest solution, restarting your iPhone can often eliminate software-related problems. So, try it before moving on to other fixes.

  • On iPhone X and later: Long-press the volume and side buttons and swipe right on the power slider to shut down the device. Now, wait a few seconds and press and hold the Side button to turn it on again.
  • On iPhone 8 and earlier: Long-press the side button and swipe right to the power off slider to shut down the device. After some time, turn on the device by pressing and holding the side button.

2. Disable and enable search for apps

Sometimes, turning the feature off and on may help fix the bug. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open Settings and tap Siri & Search.
  2. Select an app from the list.
Spotlight Search cannot be entirely disabled across all apps. You can disable it per app.
  3. Toggle off Show App in Search and then enable it again.

It may fix the issue of Spotlight Search not working on iPhone. It’s quite tedious to do this for all apps.

3. Change language settings

If you see a blank screen instead of Spotlight Search, the chances are that your language file might be corrupted. Changing language settings can help fix the issue of the Spotlight Search not working. Here’s how to do it.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select General Language & Region.
  3. Pick Add Language and select a different version of the English language.
For instance, I am going with Canada here.

Go to General, select Language and Region, tap Add languages and select different language
  4. Next, go back and select GeneralShutdown.
  5. Turn on your iPhone, and change your iPhone Language back to default.
  6. Restart the device.

    default language iphone

Now try using the Spotlight Search, and if you’re still facing some issues, move on to the steps mentioned below.

4. Remove Shortcuts widget

Many users reported that the Spotlight Search stopped working after adding certain Shortcuts widgets to the Home Screen.

To remove it, tap & hold the Shortcut widget → tap the Remove button → tap the Remove button in the confirmation prompt that appears.

Now, check if Spotlight Search is working or not. If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.

5. Update your iPhone

The problem may be due to the recent iOS 17.4.1 update. Apple usually fixes these bugs in subsequent updates. See if your device has any pending software updates. If yes, go ahead and install them.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Now, tap General → Software Update.
  3. Tap download and install.

    update your iPhone

6. Reset your iPhone

If nothing works, resetting the iPhone is your last resort.

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General → Transfer or Reset iPhoneReset → Reset All Settings.

    Reset-All-Settings
  3. Now, enter your passcode and tap Reset All Settings.

Conclusion

The troubleshooting steps mentioned above should be able to fix the Spotlight Search on your iPhone. However, if you’re still having issues with your iPhone search, I recommend contacting Apple support, where experts can tailor a solution specifically for your iPhone.

Let us know which method(s) worked for you in the comments below.

No country or jurisdiction recommends texting or calling while you drive. It is fatal, and to help, your iPhone has a handy feature called Do Not Disturb While Driving. What’s even better is that you can set up an auto-reply on your iPhone whenever you are in DND mode. This will automatically respond to incoming texts. Let’s dig in and learn how to do it.

How to set up auto-reply for text messages on iPhone

The simplest and quickest way of setting up auto-reply text messages on iPhone is to customize the Driving Focus mode.

This feature allows you to set a custom reply message for selected or all contacts while you have enabled the Driving Focus.

Follow the steps discussed below to enable this lifesaver hack on your iPhone.

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Choose Focus.
  3. Tap the (+) icon from the top-right corner.
  4. Select the Driving mode.

    Focus, (+) icon, Driving
  5. Hit Customize Focus when prompted.
  6. Now, select the Auto-Reply option.
  7. Choose any one of the following AUTO-REPLY TO parameter
    • No One
    • Recents
    • Favorites
    • All Contacts
  8. Finally, write an auto-reply message as you desire.

    Customize Focus, Set Up Auto-Reply
  9. To further customize, head back to the main menu.
  10. Scroll down and select the While Driving option.
  11. Choose to ACTIVATE this mode Automatically.
  12. You can also opt to enable Activate With CarPlay.
This will enable the Driving Focus mode when your iPhone is connected to CarPlay.

Go to Driving Focus, While Driving, Set to start Automatically

From now on, whenever someone from the chosen category tries to contact you while CarPlay, Drive Focus, or both are on, they will receive a custom message notification.

Pro Tip: Don’t go by its name. You can use Driving Focus mode any time you are busy or want to concentrate. To activate, access Control Center → Focus → Driving. Once the purpose is over, disable it the same way.

Enable Driving Focus Mode from Control Center

Modify or delete auto-reply in Driving Focus on iPhone

In case you decide to modify or deactivate Driving Focus mode, the process is simple.

To modify:

  1. Simply navigate to Settings app → Focus → Driving.
  2. Select the Auto-Reply option if you’d like to modify the Driving Focus mode.

To delete:

  1. Go to Settings app → Focus → Driving.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Focus.
  3. Hit Delete Focus when prompted.
The Focus will be terminated promptly.

    Delete Driving Focus

Alternate ways to set up custom replies on iPhone

  1. The Driving Focus is limited to one custom reply, but you can customize a total of three quick responses for incoming calls in iOS 17.
    • This feature enables you to select and use one of the quick responses that fits your situation the best. However, you need to manually select one of the pre-written responses and send it to the caller, as it is not an automatic process.
  2. Setting up a shortcut to send automatic text messages on an iPhone is more convenient than you realize. Personally, this has made my life very easy.
    • If you often find yourself in situations where you need to send the same message repeatedly, whether it be for work or personal reasons, this method can be a lifesaver. With this technique, you can avoid the tedious and time-consuming task of manually typing out the same message multiple times.

Benefits of using auto-reply for text messages on iPhone

Now that you’re familiar with the different ways to send automatic and scheduled text message responses on iPhone let’s explore the benefits of this practice.

  • When receiving a message, users can set up predefined responses that are automatically sent, allowing them to acknowledge receipt without interrupting their workflow.
  • Aside from this, auto-reply can be customized to send different responses based on specific contacts or groups so that important individuals are not left hanging.
  • Further, it provides users with the peace of mind that they are maintaining clear and professional communication even when responding immediately isn’t possible.

This way, by activating auto-reply for text messages on iPhone, professionals can save time and enhance productivity while keeping their network informed and engaged.

Video: How to Auto Reply to Texts on iPhone

Faster, safer, better!

In conclusion, setting up auto-reply on your iPhone can be a lifesaver in situations where you’re unable to respond immediately to incoming messages. With this feature enabled, you can stay connected with your friends, family, and colleagues without compromising your safety or productivity.

Although your iPhone and iPad have a default built-in video player, they can only do so much. For instance, it cannot play a wide variety of formats or support features such as optimized subtitles. The good news is that there are tons of feature-rich video player apps for iPhone and iPad on the App Store with extra functionality and flexibility.

I have shortlisted the best video player apps that will offer a seamless experience. Let’s dive in!

Best iPhone video player apps

1. VLC Media Player – Editor’s choice

VLC media player iPhone and iPad app screenshot

VLC is one of the widely used video players across every device, and its mobile version brings the same set of features to iPhones and iPads. The app is completely free and easy to use. It supports almost all audio and video file formats, along with the support for H.265 encoded videos, optimized subtitles, and SSA compatibility.

The iOS video player comes with the file synchronization feature, enabling you to play videos stored in Dropbox, GDrive, OneDrive, Box, iCloud Drive, iTunes, or through Wi-Fi sharing.

You can also stream videos from SMB, FTP, UPnP/DLNA media servers, and the web. It also offers multi-track audio and playback speed control. The only reason I kept the app below is for its lack of AC3 file support.

Pros

  • Supports multiple file formats
  • Open-source application
  • Completely free
  • Simple user interface

Cons

  • Blu-ray playback is missing

Price: Free (In-app purchases start at $0.99)

Download

2. nPlayer Lite – Multifunctional player

nplayer lite video player iphone and ipad app screenshot

nPlayer Lite comes with a simple yet functional user interface. It supports all the popular video and audio file formats, along with HEVC/H.264/MPEG4 hardware acceleration. But what particularly caught my attention is its 3D video mode. You read that right! The player can seamlessly run 3D videos.

Moreover, the features like multi-track audio, audio boost, audio sync, and lyrics display enhance the video streaming experience. You can also use gestures to control the playback.

The best thing about the iPhone video player is its inbuilt file manager, which arranges your file neatly. You can also play videos from cloud services, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, or stream them from your PC, Mac, or NAAS storage.

If you want to access more features, you can upgrade to its premium version: nPlayer Plus.

Pros

  • Supports iXpand flash drive
  • Supports HDMI output
  • Enjoy 3D videos
  • Gesture controls

Cons

  • Plenty of ads

Price: Free

Download

3. Infuse – Reliable video player

Infuse video player iPhone and iPad app screenshot

I started using Infuse back when VLC for iOS wasn’t available. Since then, I am hooked on this app. Fast forward to the present, the latest update – Infuse 7, brings its powerful performance and features to Mac too.

One of the best video player apps for the iPhone, Infuse 7 lets you play anything and everything. It supports all the popular media file formats along with 4K, HDR, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS HD-Master audio. Its intuitive and aesthetic user interface differentiates it from other video players.

Moreover, you can also add your subtitles or download them at your ease within the app. The app gives you 8 video zoom options, gesture controls, and more, making it a breeze to use it.

It allows you to browse or play videos stored on your PC or Mac, on apps like Plex, Emby, Jellyfin, or cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc. The flexibility and seamless AirPlay support that other apps can’t match.

Pros

  • Support for 4K and HDR
  • Supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD- Master audio.
  • Play videos from Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin
  • Available for Mac and Apple TV too

Cons

  • Needs paid subscription to unlock all features

Price: Free (In-app purchases start at $0.99)

Download

4. KM Player – Free iOS Player

A few years ago, Instagram provided users with an option to easily share their Instagram posts to their Facebook account using the ‘Post to Other Apps…’ option. However, it may happen that this option doesn’t work perfectly at times. For example, users have complained about Instagram not sharing to Facebook even after being notified that the post was shared successfully.

If you are facing a similar problem, this article is for you! I have compiled 5 easy fixes to help you successfully share your Instagram posts to Facebook.

How to fix Instagram not sharing to Facebook on iPhone

Want to make Instagram share your posts to Facebook? You don’t need to look beyond these fixes!

1. Ensure that your Instagram and Facebook accounts are linked

One of the prerequisites for sharing your Instagram post on Facebook is to have both accounts linked together. Therefore, you must ensure that both accounts are properly connected before you share anything.

  1. Launch Instagram on your iPhone → Tap your profile icon at the bottom right.
  2. Select the hamburger menu from the top right.
  3. Select Accounts Centre → Tap on Sharing across profiles under Connected experiences.

Select profile, hamburger menu, Select Accounts Centre, Tap on Sharing across profiles
  4. Check if your Facebook account is listed on the page. If it’s not, move on to the next step.
  5. Tap Add accounts and select Add Facebook account.
  6. Enter your Facebook account credentials and tap Continue.
You won’t need to enter anything if you have Facebook installed.

Connect Your Facebook account with Instagram

2. Change Instagram sharing preferences in the Meta Accounts Centre

Once you link your Instagram account with Facebook, you must select what content you want to share to your Facebook account or a page connected to your Facebook account.

If you haven’t done this, follow the steps below to change the Instagram sharing preferences in the Meta Accounts Centre.

  1. In Instagram, tap your profile picture at the bottom right.
  2. Select the hamburger menu.
  3. Navigate to Accounts CentreSharing across profiles.
  4. Tap and select your Instagram username.
  5. Under Share to, select your main Facebook profile instead of the pages connected to it.
  6. Under the Automatically share label, toggle on Your Instagram story, Your Instagram posts, and Your Instagram reels.

    Toggle on Automatically Share

Often, glitches or bugs within Facebook and Instagram can prevent cross-posting from working as expected. If you want to phase out the possibility, you must relink your Facebook account to your Instagram account, as detailed in the steps listed below.

  1. In Instagram, tap your profile picture → Select the hamburger menu
  2. Navigate to Accounts CentreAccounts.
  3. Tap the Remove button next to your Facebook profile.
  4. On the confirmation page, tap Remove account.
  5. Then, tap Continue → Choose Remove <Your Facebook Name>.

Remove your Facebook Account from Instagram
  6. Now, follow the steps listed in the first solution to link your Facebook account to Instagram.

4. Re-login to your Instagram and Facebook account

If the previous methods didn’t help fix your issue, you can try logging out and logging into your Instagram and Facebook accounts to see if that does the trick for you. Here are the steps on how you can do this:

  1. Launch Instagram and tap your profile picture at the bottom right.
  2. Select the hamburger menu.
  3. Scroll down and tap Log out.

Tap on Profile picture, hamburger menu, select Log out
  4. Now, launch Facebook and tap your profile picture at the bottom right.
  5. Scroll down and tap Log out.
You might see a prompt to save login info. Tap Not Now if you remember your credentials.
  6. Select Log Out to confirm your choice.

    Log out from FaceBook Account
  7. Enter your credentials and tap Log in to access your Facebook and Instagram accounts.

5. Change your Facebook Account’s Password

If you haven’t changed your Facebook account password in a while, it would be a good idea to do it now.

Apart from improving your account’s security, doing this will let you log out from all Facebook sessions running on other devices so you can clear out any glitches that may prevent you from sharing your Instagram post across Facebook.

  1. Open Facebook and tap your profile picture at the bottom right.
  2. Tap the Settings icon (gear icon) at the top right corner → See more in Accounts Centre.

Go to Account Center from FaceBook
  3. Now tap Password and securityChange password.
  4. Select your Facebook profile, and type in your current and the new password. Then, tap Change password.

    Set New Password for FaceBook

Wrapping up…

I hope this article will help you to fix the Instagram share to Facebook not working issue. If you have any further questions, drop them in the comments below. I’ll be happy to respond.

In today’s fast-paced world, where every second counts, we often find ourselves unable to respond to calls immediately. Thankfully, iOS 17 brings you an exciting feature that lets you personalize your Quick Responses, enabling you to handle incoming calls with politeness.

So, if you, too, wish to convey your response professionally with a pinch of personal flair, this article has got you covered. Follow this detailed guide and learn to customize Quick Responses for incoming calls in iOS 17.

What is quick response feature in iOS 17?

iPhone’s quick responses let you send polite preset text responses in case you don’t want to answer incoming calls. This allows you to notify the caller about the reason why can’t answer the call or that you’d get back later.

By default, in iOS 17, you can find the preset text as mentioned below:

  • Sorry I can’t talk right now.
  • I’m on my way.
  • Can I call you later?

While on call, a simple tap on the message icon is all it takes to summon quick responses or craft personalized replies on the go.

Thankfully, all of these texts are customizable so that you don’t have to compromise under any circumstance.

Customize Quick Responses for incoming calls on iPhone

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Navigate to Phone → Select Respond with Text under Calls.
  3. Here you can notice the default Quick Responses set for your device.

Tap Phone, Respond with Text, default Quick Responses in Settings
  4. Tap any message you wish to alter and enter the text of your choice.
    • In case you wish to remove the added text, simply tap the close (x) icon.
  5. Choose the Phone option once you’re all set.

Curate your messages, close to delete, Phone to go back in settings

That’s pretty much it. Following this process, you can customize all three sections of quick responses to your will.

How to use the quick response feature

Using these quick responses is even easier than setting up.

  1. When you receive a call, tap the Message icon from the interface.
  2. Select a preset message.
  3. Alternatively, you can choose the Custom option if you’ve something more to add.
  4. Write your text per usual and hit Send.

Select message option, choose a quick response, hit send to share custom message in call
Can I use emojis in my Quick Responses?

Certainly. iOS 17 lets you express yourself and make your responses stand out by incorporating your favorite smileys, animals, objects, and more.

Can I create Quick Responses in different languages?

Absolutely, iOS 17 welcomes multilingual support in Quick Responses. You just have to switch between the keyboards you prefer and can carry on the rest without any hassle.

Don’t leave the caller hanging!

Now that you’ve discovered a whole new level of customization and expression offered by iOS 17, it’s time you get started. By personalizing your Quick Responses, you can leave a lasting impression on your callers and save time.

Have you recently upgraded to a newer iPhone? We bet you have your old one stuffed in a drawer, left to gather dust because you can’t figure out what to do with it. But, lucky for you, we’ve got some fantastic ideas for reusing your old iPhone.

  1. Keep it as a spare smartphone
  2. Let your kids reuse your old iPhone
  3. Use your old iPhone as an iPod
  4. Repurpose it as an Apple TV
  5. Use it as a handheld gaming console
  6. Use your old iPhone as a baby monitor
  7. Make it an infotainment device for your car
  8. Use it as a dedicated voice recorder
  9. Use it for home security
  10. Sell or donate your old iPhone

1. Keep it as a spare smartphone

You may come across a time when your new iPhone isn’t there for you, and at those times, having a spare smartphone would solve at least some of your problems.

So what’s better than using your old iPhone as your spare smartphone, which will be there with you when you need it most?

2. Let your kids reuse your old iPhone

Kids today need smartphones more than ever, and they also need to learn the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

So, instead of giving them a new iPhone or any other expensive gadget, your old iPhone would be a great gift for them; it would even help them in their studies and teach them to reuse their old goods before throwing them out.

3. Use your old iPhone as an iPod

Rather than getting an iPod, you can reuse your old iPhone as an iPod and enjoy crystal-clear music without spending an extra dime. It would save you a few bucks and give you a better camera, battery, and device that can make calls when needed.

4. Repurpose it as an Apple TV

The old Apple TV Remote isn’t the best device from Apple, and that’s why people prefer using their TV remote over the infamous Apple TV rendition.

However, you could get the new Siri Remote (which came out with Apple TV 4K for $59) or save that much money by repurposing your old iPhone as an Apple TV remote.

5. Use it as a handheld gaming console

The App Store is full of titles, and cloud gaming solutions like Stadia offer an extensive catalog of games.

With a dedicated gamepad attached to your iPhone, you can have a decent gaming console at your fingertips without spending a fortune.

6. Use your old iPhone as a baby monitor

Taking care of babies isn’t easy. You have to check on them regularly, whether you’re in your office or taking a nap. Most parents opt for costly baby monitors, but you can be smart by reusing your old iPhone as a baby monitor.

You can use Cloud Baby Monitor to turn your old iPhone into a baby monitor and keep an eye on your baby whenever you’re not with them.

7. Make it an infotainment device for your car

Once you get a new iPhone, you can leave your old iPhone in your car. You can use it for navigation and tuning into your favorite music while driving, or you can turn it into a dashcam with a spectacular camera that can record memorable events in front of your car.

8. Use it as a dedicated voice recorder

Instead of spending $100 on a high-end microphone, you can install Voice Record Pro on your old iPhone and use it to record your next podcast.

9. Use it for home security

Did you know that you can use your old iPhone as a home security camera? You can save some money by not spending it on Nest or any other home security camera.

Install Manything on your old iPhone and stream what’s happening in and around it on your new smartphone. Moreover, it gives motion alerts, and you can record up to 30 days of video footage.

If you’re not in the mood for some DIY, then I’d suggest you get some quick cash from your old iPhone. You can also donate it to those who need it more than you. But don’t forget to back up and reset your old iPhone before handing it over to someone else.

I hope you were able to find the best use of your new iPhone. Let us know in the comments if you have anything else in mind—we’ll do our best to help you out.
